This Privacy Policy describes how Sandbag Sports, LLC, a California limited liability company with a registered address at 232 Montura Way, Novato, California 94949 (“Sandbag,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares information when you access or use the Sandbag Golf mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).  By using the Platform, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including your name, email address, phone number, account credentials, profile information, and any information you submit when using the Platform, including when booking or participating in lessons.

We collect information related to transactions conducted through the Platform, including payment-related information processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe. Sandbag does not store full payment card details.

We automatically collect certain information, including device information, IP address, and usage data. If you grant Sandbag permission, we collect your approximate location while you are using the Platform in order to identify nearby golf professionals and facilitate in-person lessons.

We may collect attribution data, including information about how you accessed the Platform, such as whether you registered through a specific golf driving range, QR code, referral link, or other source, and we may associate your account with that range or location.

We may collect and store audio, video, and related content generated in connection with lessons conducted through the Platform. Such recordings are generated as part of lessons conducted through the Platform.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to operate, maintain, and improve the Platform, to facilitate connections between Golfers and Instructors, to enable bookings and lessons, to process payments, and to provide customer support.

We use information to personalize your experience, including by identifying relevant instructors, services, or golf facilities.

We use attribution data to associate users with specific golf driving ranges or facilities and to enable features and communications related to those relationships.

We may use information, including lesson recordings and user-generated content, for quality assurance, safety, training, analytics, product development, and, where permitted, marketing and promotional purposes.

We may use information to display advertising and sponsored content, including content from third parties.

We use information to detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our terms.

3. How We Share Information

We may share information with Instructors to facilitate lessons, including your profile information and booking details.

We may share information with service providers that perform services on our behalf, including payment processors, cloud hosting providers, analytics providers, communications providers, and customer support tools.

We may share information with advertising partners and analytics providers in connection with the delivery of advertising, sponsored content, and measurement of engagement.

We may share information with golf driving ranges, facilities, or other business partners that you are associated with through your use of the Platform, including where you signed up through a specific range, scanned a range-specific QR code, or otherwise engaged with a range. These partners may use such information to communicate with you and provide promotions or offers related to their services, subject to applicable law and your communication preferences.

We may share information as required by law or when we believe it is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Sandbag, our users, or others.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Advertising and Marketing

The Platform may include advertisements, sponsored content, and promotional messages from Sandbag and third parties. Such content may be based on your activity, interactions, or associations with golf ranges or other partners.

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you may receive marketing communications from Sandbag, its advertising partners, and, where applicable, from golf ranges or partners with which you are associated.

You may opt out of certain marketing communications by following the instructions provided in those communications or through your device or the “Preferences” section in your account settings, although you may continue to receive transactional or service-related communications.

5. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Platform, fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
